Completing two bachelors in both science and philosophy, Sarah continued her endeavours into the scientific field with an MSc, conducting research in host-pathogen interaction in Crohn’s disease. Combining both her scientific background with experience in strategic planning and board development, Sarah has become an important part of our Project Management team along with Amanda Hu. An excellent communicator and connector, Akierman recently returned from Barcelona where she attended the World Mobile Congress and coordinated Vivametrica’s project with ICT West delegates.

Akierman is driven by social impact, which is why she sees such great potential with what is emerging when it comes to health and technology. Her constant search for answers encourages team engagement and critical thinking. Sarah believes that “Resiliency is necessary for me, and I would say the women at Vivametrica’s success.

“It’s empowering to go to work with such a diverse team that understands the importance of strengthening and advocating for women in technology” – Sarah Akierman
