Samantha Chow is a senior analyst with Aite Group, specializing in the life insurance and annuities industry. She brings over 15 years of experience in market research, product development, pricing strategies, competitive intelligence, project management, process improvement, and change management in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Aite Group, Ms. Chow held senior-level strategy, innovation, and research positions at New York Life Insurance Company and Aflac. She holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and statistics and a master’s degree in international business.

Kuang Chen
Kuang Chen is the founder and CEO of Captricity and the recipient of MIT Technology Review’s ‘35 Innovators Under 35’ award. The idea for Captricity came from Kuang’s PhD dissertation at UC Berkeley. His research focused on data-centric approaches to increase the efficiency of low-resource organizations. While doing research in Tanzania and Uganda, he experienced firsthand the importance and difficulty of transforming paper into actionable data. Captricity now provides its solution a majority of top insurance companies, as well as US government agencies, and hundreds of non-profits – to increase revenue, reduce cost, and gain insights.

Dr. Hu has been a practicing Spinal surgeon for more than 25 years and has held leadership roles in research, teaching and healthcare administration. Dr. Hu is the Founder and CEO of Vivametrica Ltd., a provider of predictive risk analysis to the insurance industry and group wellness program providers. Vivametrica redefines how individuals and organizations measure health risk by combining easy to use, science based analysis tools with personalized data from IoT sensors.

Jon R. Sabes, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of GWG Holdings, is a financial professional with over 20 years of experience in the fields of finance, venture capital, business development, managerial operations, and federal taxation.
